As a photographer, I obviously love to take pictures.  The funny thing is that I have to make a real point to take portraits of my own children.  This is something that I really try to do for us as a family :) I have learned my lessons the hard way, I don't have newborn portraits of my own children and this is something that breaks my heart.  Every time I give a family their newborn gallery, I think about how lucky they are and how thankful they will be.  It is because of those missing newborn portraits that I make sure to take pictures of my own children.  I don't want to look back on their childhoods and wish that I had more pictures of them.  Now, is it always easy?  Absolutely not.  Am I in them? No, but I am sure to have their pictures.

In our yard we have the best violets! Well, I should say that I think they are the best, my husband does not, because they are in his lawn. You know a man and his lawn ;)  Well I decided to take Allie out to have a little fun and these are my favorites of her! Jack wasn't really interested this time, he was more interested in riding his new bike!

Now all I need to do is decide which ones to print for the house :) I know just the spot that I want to put them!  Hope you all have a great rest of your weekend!

Well, this little guy may look familar to some of you if you have been following me for a while.  Last year this little guy's mom won the "You be the Photographer" contest. Okay, I have been trying to think of a way to give back to my customers and those who follow me on Facebook.  This is what I have come up with.
